This dichroic glass pendant has vibrant layers of dichroic in shades of turquoise, magenta, blue, teal and silver. The background glass is black and it is capped with clear glass. It measures 1 1/4" square and is on a sterling silver plated bail. This sparkles beautifully.

I hand cut sheets of glass into small shapes and layer from four to seven layers on a background glass. The piece is fired to 1500 degrees in a kiln, cooled slowly, shaped and smoothed with a grinder and fired again. I use art glass and dichroic glass, which is a lovely type of glass that has a reflected and a transmitted color. It sparkles beautifully and shifts colors depending on lighting and angle.
