This pretty fused glass heart pendant measures 1" and is on a sterling silver plated heart bail. The pink heart sits on a white heart base. The little bouquet of deep rose and blue flowers is fused right into the pink heart.

I hand cut sheets of glass into small shapes and layer from four to seven layers on a background glass. The piece is fired to 1500 degrees in a kiln, cooled slowly, shaped and smoothed with a grinder and fired again. I use art glass and dichroic glass, which is a lovely type of glass that has a reflected and a transmitted color. It sparkles beautifully and shifts colors depending on lighting and angle.
